Committee members are meeting with municipalities across the state to spread the word about our State of Teal initiative. Pictured here is committee member Doris Moody who was allowed to go before the Gardendale City Council on Monday, July 21, to share information with the council and community. A proclamation will be issued by the City of Gardendale declaring September GYN Cancer Awareness Month. The fountain near the Civic Center will contain teal water, Gardendale High School will be lit in teal, and the police patrol cars will don teal ribbons during the month of September to raise awareness.
